The Fiddle Folk Family - a family band consisting of parents, sons and sometimes grandchildren, who have dedicated themselves to fresh folk and silly alliterations. Sophisticated, but undogmatic, dog-loving but never dogged, they create an irresistible melange of folk from Germany, Ireland and America, garnished with a few bad jokes and a large portion of humor. Almost 800 concerts in the last 20 years testify to high quality - or a lack of hobbies. The absence of a Grammy Award in their list of achievements is solely due to their modesty.
Album »Freaky Folks«
»Freaky Folks«, the first studio album of the Fiddle Folk Family, creates a musical homage to all the weird guys out there who are sung about in folk and in life. On »Freaky Folks« the german family band celebrates songs of love and vice, mixes the non-traditional with ancient instruments and plays crazy songs from crazy people. Don't think too much about it, don't take anything too seriously and understand it as a musical plea to people to be a bit more »freaky«: Loving and laughing, troubled and trusting, nature-nuzzled and flora-fuzzled. The album gives a few examples.
